Journalist covering Trump trip to Florida tests positive for coronavirus

On Monday, the WHCA (White House Correspondents’ Association) announced that a press member that covered the entire trip by President Trump that happened last week to Florida has now reportedly tested positive for the COVID-19 disease.

The president of the group, Zeke Miller, mentioned that they have started to reach out to the people who were a part of this pool that came in contact with this tested individual. A[part from this, the Medical Unit working with the White House is also conducting additional tracing of contacts along with follow-on tests to help isolate the ones that could have come in contact with the journalist.

As of now, Miller hasn’t revealed the name of this COVID positive journalist citing concerns for privacy. This journalist was known to be in close connection with 12+ members from the press at Belleair, Fla’s Pelican Golf Club.

Not just that, the reporter was also in close space with Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Ron DeSantis (R) (Florida Governor), Wilton Simpson (R), Kathleen Peters (R) (Commissioner at Pinellas County), & Danny Perez (R) (State Representative).

This development came into focus as health officials talked about 4752 latest cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
