The Korean comedy-drama Hi Bye, Mama! was aired on tvN in South Korea in February 2020. The Yoo Je-won directed series was later available on Netflix worldwide. The story is based on a woman who died in a tragic accident, leaving her husband and little daughter behind. She got a chance to come back to his family and become a human being after 49 days through reincarnation. The story attracted the viewers and kept them connected until the airing of the last episode.

The show recently started airing with its very first episode on February 22, 2020. The last episode aired on April 19, 2020. Officially there is no announcement for season 2. The story also seems to be complete in its way. (check: Next in Fashion season 2.)
The stars of the show Lee kyu-Hyung and Kim Tae Hee shared their views on season 1. Both of them didn’t provide any hint for season 2. It seems like it has been limited to a single season only. Lee Kyu-Hyung just thanked the viewers for their support and discussed something regarding the filming. So, it might be possible that the show will not get renewed. But if the show is revived somehow, it will not be available before the year 2022.

The cast of the show mainly consists of four members. Lee Kyu-Hyung as Cho Gang-Hwa, is the husband of both Cha Yu-ri and Oh Min-jung. Kim Tae-hee as Cha Yu-ri, the dead wife of Gang-Hwa. Go Bo-gyeol as Oh Min-jung, the second wife of Gang-Hwa. Seo Woo-jin as Cho Seo-woo is the daughter of Yu-ri and gang-hwa.
Some other members were also there, but the main cast was the above mentioned only. If the series is revived, the main cast needs to be returned. Hi Bye, Mama! Season 2 Plot
Yu-ri, as the mother of Woo-jin, died and became a ghost and later she was reincarnated and sent to her family. She was a little disappointed by her husband’s second marriage with Oh Min-jung. All she wanted to do was to take care of her daughter, whom she loved a lot. But she got 49 days to return to her place.
In the last episode, she was asked by both Gang-Hwa and Woo-jin not to leave them. Though she wanted to be there and spend time with her family, she knew that if she were there, her daughter would be able to see the ghosts. It can ruin her life and burst into fear. She didn’t want her daughter to suffer because of herself. So, she decided to leave them and returned. In the end, Woo-jin was shown happy with her father and her stepmom Min-jung.
The storyline seems to be quite satisfying and complete. But if a second season is brought into the limelight, some memories may be brought into action. Some more difficulties that may come in the way of Woo-jin may lead Yu-ri to return and save her daughter.
