Dwight In Shining Armor is a family fantasy television series, aired on BYUtv in the USA, and released internationally by Paramount Television. The show was renewed consecutively for a second and third season, owing to its high popularity among the teenagers and middle-aged.
The first two seasons got filmed in Utah. The third installment was filmed in Georgia to avail of the tax breaks given by the state. The series showcased the daily life of a teenager named Dwight, who accidentally fell into an ancient underground chamber. In there, he finds Gretta, a Gothic princess.
He unwittingly kissed Gretta, releasing the magic spell that had put her in the sleep for 1000 decades. This step also awakened her court magician, Baldric, and her various medieval villains, making Dwight her existent protector till all her enemy defeated. Now, Dwight has to protect Gretta, and also make her adjust to the new high-school life.
Dwight In Shining Armor Season 4 Renewal Status
The show’s producers were very advanced in declaring the renewal status. They announced the renewal of season 2, even before the airing of the premiere installment. In the same way, season 4 renewal was announced in June 2019, way before the third installment got aired(March 2020).
But, because of the global pandemic, the show was put on hold for some time. The show has received critical reviews for being a series that is watchable for all age groups, also earning an IMDB rating of 7.5. And, these could be the reasons for shows being renewed in quick intervals.
The show is touted to be one of the most expensive shows produced by the BYUtv network. The network is also thinking of producing many more series, considering the responses it received from the audience.
So, it’s no doubt that the show has been renewed for a fourth run, but also chances of the announcement of the renewal of season 5 are pretty high too.
Dwight In Shining Armor Season 4 Release Date
The producers of Dwight in shining armor are quite generous about the release dates. All the previous three seasons got released in a time gap of 3 months, following that pattern season 4 is expected to come in September 2020.
But, because of the advent of the novel coronavirus, all the filming/production were stalled till the next orders. In such a scenario, none of the producers has commented anything about the release dates because, honestly, nobody knows when everything will come to resume.
But still, if the world gets a vaccine, and slowly everything comes to resume, then we can hope that the show might come by the end of 2020 or in early 2021. Till then, we can pray that the world gets the vaccine of this virus, and everything comes back to normal again.
Dwight In Shining Armor Season 4 Cast
As per the sources, the majority of the cast members are going to reprise their role in season 4. With that in accordance, Dwight’s titular character will be played by Sloane Morgan Siegel, Caitlin Carmichael as Gretta the gothic princess, and Joel McCrary as court magician Baldric. Danielle Bisutti, as Witch Hexela, will also reprise her role in the fourth installment, though her screen presence was less in the previous seasons. It is expected that in season 4, it will rise in prominence.
And never to forget, there is always a possibility of new members in the cast of the show. Until now, nothing about the addition of new characters has been revealed by the writers or producers.

DiSA Season 4 Plot
The show is about magicians, witches, and spells, so there is no denying that there is enough material for fantasy type shows in the market. Plus, the show’s writers have amazed us with their writing in the previous installment, and we are expecting that they will do the same in season 4.
In previous seasons, we saw Gretta’s ex-fiancee teaching Dwight in self-defense. But he was failing miserably, again and again, making that into a laughter riot. In the upcoming installment, the relationship between Dwight and Gretta might convert into a serious one. Till this time, none of them has confessed their feelings, though it is pretty evident that they like each other.
Turning to now Baldric and Hexela, we came to know that they were ex-lovers, totally focusing on Gretta’s well-being. So in the upcoming installment, a romantic angle between them might come up as a new storyline.
There is also a possibility that a spell of time-travel might be introduced in season 4, taking Gretta and his team to their medieval time. But in the end, these all are just some good predictions. Nothing has been confirmed or revealed by any of the writers or producers of the show.
